Terms and Conditions
Throughout these conditions references to "we", "us" or "our" are references to My Place in Glasgow, a trading name of Omminal Ltd.
Payment
You will receive an e-mail from us confirming the availability of the apartment, at this stage we request a deposit of one nights accommodation, this is payable by credit card via a “PayPal” link on the e-mail. If you prefer to pay by cheque please contact us to arrange. Upon receipt of this payment the booking will be confirmed. The balance of the total cost is payable, in full, two weeks before arrival. You will receive an e-mail reminder along with the “PayPal” link. If any payment due is not paid after the reminder we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking.
For bookings made within two weeks of arrival payment will be required in full.
Security Deposit
Please note that on arrival you may be asked for a £50 returnable security deposit against any excessive damages that may incur during your stay. This deposit will be returned to you minus any expenses one week after your departure. If we make a deduction from this deposit we will provide a detailed breakdown of the issues and the cost of rectifying them. The payment of the security deposit will not limit the liability of clients; if damage occurs and this exceeds the amount deposited or should no deposit have been given, clients may still be held liable for excessive damage.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing / e-mail. A full refund will be provided for cancellations up to twenty four hours before arrival; thereafter all monies paid by the client will be forfeited. If the apartment cannot be made available for the period booked due to events beyond our control and we require to cancel the booking, the whole of the monies paid will be refunded; the client will have no claim against us. You are advised to take out a Holiday Cancellation Insurance Policy.
Arrivals and Departures
Apartments are available for entry between 2pm and 10pm on day of arrival. When you know your expected arrival time we ask you to let us know in order to arrange key collection & a personal introduction to your apartment.
Alternative entry times may on occasion be agreed, contact us to discuss.
Departure is by 10am on day of departure. All additional hours will be charged as one day unless otherwise agreed.
Accommodation and Occupancy
The accommodation provided will be a one bedroom flat within the Old Sheriff Court Building, the exact apartment cannot be guaranteed.
It may be possible to organise for a cot or folding bed to be available for a baby or small child, please contact us to discuss.
The number of people staying in the apartment should not exceed two (three with prior agreement). This does not restrict you from having guests as visitors, however use of the apartment for an excessive number of people for a party or similar is prohibited. Use of the apartment is for normal domestic purposes and subletting is strictly prohibited.
Complaints and problems
If you have a problem during your stay please contact us immediately and we will do our best to rectify this. We reserve the right to decline accommodation and / or to demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons not complying with these conditions, or for any conduct detrimental to the comfort of adjacent guests or neighbours.
Cleaning and Breakages/Damage
We expect the apartments to be left in a reasonable state on departure. If at our discretion we believe that an excessive degree of cleaning is required the charge for this will be £50.
Please advise us of any breakages that occur during your stay, you will not be charged for incidental damage which occurs as a result of normal use. Where, in our opinion, there has been excessive damage you will be liable for the costs involved in rectification. Such costs will be deducted from the security deposit (if taken) or submitted to you as a Bill.
Keys
You will be issued with one set of keys. If the keys are lost there shall be a charge of £50 for replacement.
Call Outs
An emergency call out number is provided on arrival. If this number is used between the hours of 10pm and 8am for anything other than an emergency, we reserve the right to charge £50.
Insurance and Liability
The use of the property and its equipment is entirely at the Client’s risk and no responsibility is accepted by us either for injury to the client and any member of his/her party, or loss or damage to belongings. You are advised to take out adequate travel and personal insurance.
Right of Entry
We reserve the right of entry to the apartment at all reasonable times, for the purposes of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs or maintenance. Other than emergencies, notice will be given.
Lost Property
Any items left in the apartment will be kept for 3 months after the departure date.
Pets
No pets are allowed in the apartment.
Smoking
No smoking is allowed in the apartment.
Website
We believe that all the information on our website is accurate. However information and images are subject to change. Please note that the furnishing details of each apartment are individual, with the published images showing a representation.

Contract
A Contract, under Scots Law, will be deemed to have been entered into, embracing the above Terms & Conditions, when a booking is made by the Client, accepted by us and the initial deposit paid.
